Volunteer Projects in India
Several projects in India focus on health and hygiene education with children including this one in Bangalore which will also focus on empowering children and adults living in slums to envision a better future. Another project in Coorg or Kodagu - a dense forested region near the city of Mysore will involve teaching children reading, math as well information about solid waste management, plus hands on school improvement projects such as painting. Volunteer Projects in Thailand
There are several volunteer projects offered in Thailand including the opportunity to teach english to grade school children in Yang Ngam, a small Buddhist village in Songkhla province. Last year's project was so successful that local villagers are eager for this year's project to begin. In Denrat village volunteers can help with composting, organic gardening or recycling projects. Volunteers for Peace offers many exchange opportunities in Vietnam including volunteer projects with orphaned and disabled children in Ho Chi Minh City.
