Registration Process

If you have any questions about the registration process, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Create an account from the green box at the top of any page in order to save project selections to your Wish List and save your project registration form.
Find a project from our Volunteer Project List. Click here for tips for narrowing your search!
Add project to Shopping Cart: If you only have 1 project you would like to be considered for, check out and complete the registration form and payment process. If you would like to have a 2nd choice project option in case your 1st choice is full, add another project to your cart and "Edit Choices" to set it as your 2nd choice project. You will only be charged for 1 project.
Checkout: This will lead you to through the VFP registration and payment process
Registration fees are due at the time of registration. If we aren't able to place you, the registration fee will be refunded back to you in full.

Wait for Acceptance

You will hear back from VFP regarding placement within 3-5 business days for short-term projects and 1-2 weeks for longer-term projects.
If your first choice project is full, we will move onto your 2nd choice automatically unless you have indicated otherwise. If you didn't list a 2nd choice project, we will contact you to see if you want to choose another project or receive a refund.
An acceptance letter will be emailed to you directly from VFP.

Make Travel Arrangements

Volunteers are responsible for arranging and paying for all travel to/from the project location.
If a visa is required, it will be indicated in the acceptance letter. Volunteers are responsible for paying for and obtaining the appropriate visa.

Receive Detailed Information Sheet

A detailed information sheet will be sent to you at least 1 month before the start of your project.
