Discover Haiti, Rediscover Yourself
Volunteers For Peace marks over 15 years of collaboration with grassroots Haitian community organizations! Since 2011 we have sent over 350 volunteers to rural communities. Our projects foster civic engagement and community development and focus on clean drinking water, education, and the environment. We hope you will join us on a life-changing volunteer opportunity in Haiti!
Check out our 2015 Projects, many more will be added in March.
A Recent History of VFP Work in Haiti
- In December, 12 students from Norwich University and 9 international volunteers joined VFP Executive Director Meg Brook for a two week project in LaVallee. The group ran a 2 week training for youth, installed 10 Biosand Water Filters in 2 schools, planted over 100 trees at a local water source and exchanged culture and friendship with local Haitians!
