Support VFP

Since 1982, Volunteers For Peace has promoted international voluntary service through the exchange of more than 28,000 volunteers!

In 2010 VFP members participated in over 515 projects around the world, donated thousands of hours to community service projects, expanded their knowledge of different cultures and beliefs, and build lifelong friendships.

VFP plays and important role in the United States too. Each year we subsidize our 40-60 projects that help non-profits meet their goals and serve the needs of their communities while invigorating their organizations with international volunteers. This year our volunteers donated over 15,000 hours of service to non-profits, parks and recreation departments, and local communities!

In 2008 we started our Scholarship program to ensure those who are motivated to volunteer are not turned away for lack of funds.

Your support is vital to us. VFP receives no government support or grants; its members, volunteers, and individuals like you make all this possible. Thank you!

Please show your support for Volunteers For Peace and international voluntary service by making a contribution today.

Experience Builder ($300) – Provide a VFP Basic Scholarship for a North American to attend a Voluntary Service Project with this donation.

It was an environmental workcamp so during the camp we planted trees (15,000 to be exact), cleaned up the coast and did some work around the town.  We stayed in an old community center which used to be the youth center so it was filled with tons of fun things”. Laurie Ross ~ Iceland 2008

VFP is a 501(c)(3); all donations are tax-deductible. The VFP Board has adopted a policy protecting the privacy of our volunteers & donors. We never loan or sell our membership list or provide contacts to anyone without prior approval.
