Volunteers need to pay for local transportation, and airport tax.   WORK PROJECTS NUEVA PRIMAVERA CHILD CARE CENTER FOR INFANTS 6 MONTHS TO 5 YEARS OLD.  Nueva Primavera Child Care Center serves low income working mothers and their kids.  Volunteer activities: Assist teachers in their daily activitities with the kids. Care for and entertaining the babies and kids, play with them, organize learning activities and games for them. Prepare food and serve food to the kids.  GONZALO PIZARRO ELEMENTARY.  Elementary school, grades one to six,  in the coast of Ecuador, for 90 kids. Volunteers help the three teachers of the school.  They teach the kids a second language, Math, Art,  Music.  Organize sports and play games with the kids.

PRESERVING THE NATURE OF ECUADOR  The Foundation Proyecto Ecológico Chiriboga  started its work in a place   located 50 kms in the southwest of Quito, in the Chiriboga region, here the  Foundation protect a  Reserve where they make Reforestation work and Protection of the nature. Nowadays  the Foundation works in other places of Ecuador in the  sensibilization of the  protection of the environment in schools, and with Children with Disabilities.   Main theme of the camp: Environment and Education Language (required):Good Spanish knowledge is required Lodging and food (3 meals per day) (65%)  Materials and help to the foundation (35%) Any transportation is not included    Physical or manual work:   The volunteers  will help in the Reserve of the Foundation making Reforestation work  and will teach some Basic English classes in schools from other communities. THE FOUNDATION DOES NOT WORK WITH THE CHIRIBOGA COMMUNITY,  but it does with other ones.  Accommodation:  Lodging is in the Proyecto Chiriboga, and "in the house" of the Foundation. Lodging in communities  is with families of the schools.  Other information:  The foundation can arrange a taxi at the airport you can ask for this,the cost is  8 dollars until 22:00 hours after this time the cost is 10,00 dollars. If you need to arrive some days before or to stay some days after the placement,  the Foundation can offer some lodging for USA$ 9,50 per day this include a place to sleep, breakfast and dinner. If you need to take some Spanish classes you can  take with our teachers for low price, ask us for this information please.  These dates were selected because we need the volunteers arrive on Sunday in order to travel or to start on the Monday. The volunteers can arrive in the whole Sunday, at night we have a reunion to introduce everybody, and to explain the activities and the details and the rules  of the workcamp . Normally at the Proyecto Chiriboga we work for two weeks after which the volunteers travel to the Coast to teach some basic English to the kids from two primary schools.
