in Schweicheln was built in 1847 and, since its renovation in 2001, is run as a
school museum (www.museumsschule.de) by the local Museums Association In 2004
W: The Museums Association acquired and restored the 200 year old farm
labourers' cottage opposite the school, to provide an insight into children's
homelife. Under expert tutelage, one of your tasks will be to lay the earthen
floor in the cottage, which has to be "stamped" to seal it. Using
traditional round dances and music from 200 years ago, you'll be combining work
and pleasure like the olden-day builders. A hundred years ago, water for the
cottage dwellers was fetched from a spring. We would like you to build a new
wall around this spring, lay a pathway, and help with planting a farmers'
garden with a fence to surround it, and clearing and restocking a pond. If the

both visitors from afar and local people. One of the main themes is about old
breeds of domestic animals. At the centre of this facility will be a Teaching

areas) on the shores of Lake Grunewald, is the Grunewaldheim Scout Centre. The
centre is a popular holiday location for children and youth groups, a place
where local associations hold their summer parties and kids can celebrate their
birthdays. Aside from the work aspect, this international work camp will give
you the opportunity to learn German. In addition to your work, this camp gives
you the opportunity to learn some German. You'll work for about three hours per
day, followed by two hours of intensive language study, which will then
continue in a variety of everyday settings. All tutors are experienced teachers
of German as a foreign language and they, too, are participants in this work
camp. The Grunewaldheim Centre is surrounded by some 30,000 square metres of
grounds and this is currently demarcated by a very old and broken down fence.

The main idea of this camp is to promote mutual understanding between young
people in cross border region, with out prejudges. A: Will be provided in the
motel, located on Ohrid Riviera. L: The Ohrid saga is a millennium long saga.
Since Ohrid is a city in the Republic of Macedonia with continuity and around
two and a half millenniums old marks of exsistance. Within the very heart of
the present city of Ohrid, the antique city of Lichnid lies, significant and
rich, as is its successor. The metamorphoses of the antique Lichnid into
medieval Ohrid lasted for several centuries (VI-IX), thus being created one of
the most significant medieval cities on the Balkan. Through the pages of the
Ohrid saga we will find the memories of the birth of the Slavic literacy and
culture in the works of St. Clement and St. Naum, students of Thessaloniki
brothers Sts. Cyril and Metodij. St. Clement is worshiped as a patron of the
city, and his three-decade work in the city (886-916) initiated the foundation
of the Clement Slavic University. The Ohrid saga cherries the memories of the
Samuel Empire, too, as its capitol at the beginning of the XI century. It
nourishes the testimonies of the Ohrid Archibishopry - a significant church
organization, which pedestal was shared by influential philosophers, writers
and theologians. Its worthy successor is the present Macedonian Orthodox
Church. The Ohrid saga was composed by the stormy pages of the past, and the
testimonies for some of them have reached the present days; the Monastery of
St. Clement - St. Pantelejmon, the Monastery of St. Naum, the cathedral church
of St. Sophia, the church of St. Clement, the church of St. John the Baptist,
as many other pieces of art: frescoes, icons, manuscripts, all of them woven in
the City of UNESCO - Ohrid. T: Bus Station in Ohrid. Participation fee: 15 Euro
($18 US). NOTE: for VFP volunteers under age 18, the VFP Fee is $300.
