Information for Canadian Volunteers
Canadians can apply to volunteer via Volunteers For Peace. There are a limited amount of circumstances where VFP will have to refer your application elsewhere, due to volunteer exchange agreements. Feel free to register, and if we need to, we will refer you to one of our Canadian partner organizations for placement.

Referrals happen for Canadians if you are from Quebec and fall within a certain age range AND apply for certain projects. Referrals also happen for Canadians from any province if you apply for any projects hosted within the Service Civil International (SCI) network.
If you want to know, in advance, if you need to be referred, before you send in the registration form and payment, please contact VFP directly either by email or by calling our office (802.259.2759) with your project choice, your age and province of residence so we can determine whether you will need to be referred.
