We worked at a health clinic in Hveragerdi and as far as accommodations, food and facilities, it had a reputation of being one of the better work camps. We ate in the cafeteria with the other workers and the food was great. We also had use of two swimming pools, hot tubs, gym, library and a mud bath, if we wanted. We worked at the health clinic’s organic farm. We worked hard: digging potatoes, tying and pruning tomato and cucumber plants, grinding up herbs for tea, picking lettuce or carrying vegetables back to the kitchen. The farm manager was extremely nice and his mother often brought in food for our breaks. The director of the health clinic even stopped by during one of our first lunches to welcome us and explain what the health clinic did and the facilities we were allowed to use.\"
