The workcamp itself consisted in renovating an old roman path that led to a small house. A normal day was made out of 4 hours of working and the rest were either free time or in some cases, any chores that had to be done in the camp. There were 20 people in the camp which were separated into two groups one that would work in the morning and one in the afternoon.
There were also many activities during the 15 days. We visited St. Girons, hiked and went to a nearby river. We also had many bond fires that really brought the group together as a whole. The cooperation between every individual was exceptional, so that everyone could enjoy their stay. All the different tasks like cooking and cleaning were very well organized and distributed between everyone. We were also greatly helped by the people from the village that we stayed, providing us with many services and the town hall. Personally, I had an amazing time at this workcamp and it has really motivated to repeat again next year. While at the workcamp I was exposed to many different experiences where I had to collaborate with people of a different culture than mine, which has definitely made me grow as an individual.”
