I participated in “Marburg” – a workcamp with a German language focus. The camp is located in a beautiful area of woods in Marburg, Germany. The work involved was fun and not at all strenuous. I came into the camp expecting only to work in the mornings and have German lessons in the evenings. However, this camp provided SO much more than that. Work was only three times a week in the mornings from 8:30 until around 12 or 1. Each day we had an excursion or an activity. We visited Köln, Kassel, Frankfurt, and Heidelburg for full day excursions. We also took a guided tour of Marburg, did a 10 mile kayak trip, a biking tour of the countryside, and other adventures. It was absolutely phenomenal the amount of activities they planned for us. At no point in the two weeks were we bored or left without something to do. All travel costs for the excursions were covered in the additional 160 Euro fee for the camp – which was well worth it. . It was really something quite special. I would recommend this program to anyone who remotely knows German. It is in a beautiful location, has so many exciting activities, and creates truly meaningful friendships.\\\"
