Volunteer Voices

I was in Reykjavik, Iceland in July for the \\\"African Days\\\" workcamp. We organized an African Day festival with music, face painting, mask making, food and other activities. As part of our daily work we took African drum and dance lessons and preformed what we learned at the festival. It was great to be working with people from all over the world from Korea to Russia to Germany and Mexico.I would go back to Reykjavik in a heartbeat, the Icelandic people were kind and friendly and though the words were impossible to pronounce, overall it was a great experience and one I would recommend to everyone.\\\"
