Volunteer Voices

My experience at the workcamp in Viterbo, Italy was life changing. I learned so much about other culture and traditions. I now feel informed about current world events. Not only did I make amazing friends, but I made incredible contacts who live all over the world. I feel that going to new places and just breaking out of routines makes you smarter and keeps your brain healthy, I feel very healthy after this trip.

I was interviewed for an Italian newspaper, here is the article http://www.tusciaweb.eu/2011/06/ragazzi-da-tutto-il-mondo-a-viterbo/ . It is in Italian, but I talked about VFP and my experience with the locals, the volunteers, and Ludika medieval festival. There is a great picture of my group with the article. It was very exciting to be asked about why I picked this program. I told the interviewer (and translator) that I study theater in college and I have studied a little Italian, and Italy is one of my favorite places to visit. VFP is an amazing organization. I truly thank you for this experience.
