Volunteer Voices

I took part in a cultural and arts project that took place in Lohmen, Germany. We were required to come up with a play and then perform for the community of Lohmen. The accommodations were good, there was a sufficient amount of space, cleanliness was left up to the volunteers, and there were more than enough beds. The food was very limited, but was sufficient. With regards to the project, it was a very interesting one and I\\\'d definitely encourage others to take part in other projects like this. The group leader\\\'s organizational skills and personality needed work, but other than that everything went very well. I found the project to be a lot of fun and would definitely do it again. For future projects, I\\\'d recommend a better selection method of picking out group leaders. I found our leader to be incompetent in the leading aspect of things and also found out that she didn\\\'t have very much time to prepare for the position either. So for future projects, maybe picking someone who has had more time to prepare/experience. Overall it was a great project, there were a few bumps, but everything worked out in the end.”
