...the volunteers I worked with were amazing, wonderful people. I loved the locals in the village of Longo Mai and the connections we made. I am also deeply grateful for the program leaders Tito and Jamilette who were patient, understanding, accomodating and giving throughout our entire stay. Without them our program would not have been what it was. I also really enjoyed the work once we made it clear that we were willing and able to help. We picked coffee, planted a school garden, made stairs, painted signs and planted trees. It was so rewarding and I loved every minute of that!"
