My experience with SCI India in Tamil Nadu was unforgettable. The SCI staff were hospitable, helpful, warm, and taught me so much about Indian culture, and in particular, South Indian culture. The staff wanted the volunteers to get the most out of our experience. Tamil Nadu, with all its difficulties, language miscommunications, and craziness, was, in a way, a teacher to me. India taught me how to be a better, more patient traveler; how to love other cultures more deeply and with more understanding, and how to be a more thoughtful, inspired individual. All in all, this was a wonderful, life-changing adventure, and I am so thankful to Volunteers for Peace for showing me an affordable way to travel and volunteer. \\\"
