Volunteer Voices

Having volunteered for the past few years in areas such as New York, New Orleans, Istanbul and Cairo, I have experienced working with people from many different backgrounds. However, my experience in Tanzania was very unique. The people I met in Tanzania were some of the nicest and most friendly people I have ever met and worked with. I would love to work with UVIKIUTA again in the future and stay for a longer period of time to help shape the local community. I believe through three weeks of volunteering, the volunteers and myself in the workcamp were able to make a difference. But, I feel we could\'ve contributed much more to UVIKIUTA, the orphanage, the local schools and the library in a longer term project.\"
