Volunteer Voices

I volunteered in Nea Makri, Greece from August 3 – 17, 2011. We worked six hours a day, six days a week (Tuesdays were free days). The camp leadership was excellent and the volunteers (whose age ranged from 37-67) worked very well together.
I would recommend this work camp to someone just getting into volunteering. The conditions are some of the best in terms of work camps, and it allows for a new volunteer to “test the waters” in terms of volunteering in a foreign country.\"
