Volunteer Voices

In this Dismas home I\'ve made friends over the most mundane of things; a favorite recipe shared and baked, a computer problem solved, or just doing a puzzle game together. I treasure and shall always remember the occasions when fellow residents have asked for help with a resume or interview technique, complex \"official paperwork\", or just to talk about \"life, love and the universe\".

As a volunteer, I have been lucky enough to be involved among other things in: a wedding, a plant sale, fund-raisers, a wedding shower, picnics & cook-outs and numerous birthday celebrations.I shall never know if I have made a difference to anyone\'s life, but I hope that sometime, somewhere, my Dismas friends will remember \"Hermione\" (from Harry Potter, my house moniker) and think of me fondly.\"
